Our tips for the perfect biking fun

Fat bike & Trottinett

A rapid ride down into the valley on a fat bike (bike with particularly thick tires) or a Trottinett (scooter) is fun for action-loving people and the whole family. Of course, both vehicles are also very suitable for exploring the lakes on the high plateau.

Valley run

The Melchsee-Frutt - Stöckalp descent can only be used during the odd hours:
9.00 a.m. - 9.20 a.m. / 11.00 a.m. - 11.20 a.m. / 1.00 p.m. - 1.20 p.m. / 3.00 p.m. - 3.20 p.m. / 5.00 p.m. - 5.20 p.m.
The red light must be observed! Obstacles on the road (gravel, grass grates etc.) must be expected at all times.

Rental

Both, the fat bikes and the scooters can be rented at the new Stöckalpbahn top station. Helmets are included. Reservations can be made in advance by telephone on: Tel. +41 (0) 41 669 70 60.

Ropes course

The rope course discOWer is located right next to the valley station of the Stöckalpbahn. The total of 9 courses are a challenge for young and old. From very easy to very difficult every conqueror of the treetops will find the perfect thrill here. Climb up to 16 meters above the ground through the forest and face the difficult elements.

Please note that children up to the age of 13 can only use the facility with supervision. We recommend visiting with children aged 4 and over.

The park is open from May 1st to October 31st, 2021. The opening times vary according to the season. Our reception team will be happy to provide you with the exact times.

Karst caves

The karst cave system at Melchsee is one of the largest in Switzerland and can be visited with an expert guide. In the footsteps of the first ascent, you will experience the diverse world of caves. Short crawl spaces, secured trusses, huge halls alternate, unbelievable sintering, stalactites and fragile fields await along the way.

But don't worry: the tricky areas are all secured with ladders and ropes.
